Gemeentehaven Urk

Location: Wijk 7-102, Urk, Netherlands

The municipal harbour of Urk serves the old fishing village on the IJsselmeer, one of the most distinctive ports on the former Zuiderzee. The recreational section holds at least 200 berths on floating jetties; boxes are let to permanent moorers, but in summer visitors may take any box showing a green sign, and extra jetties on the town side have expanded capacity in recent years. Electricity is free throughout the harbour, drinking water is available at several points, and three shower and toilet buildings with code access are reserved mainly for visitors. The harbour office monitors VHF channel 12.
