Gemeentehaven Huizen
Location: Havenstraat 302, Huizen, Netherlands
The Gemeentehaven is the municipal harbour of Huizen, an old Zuiderzee fishing village on the Gooimeer, and markets itself as the Haven van 't Gooi. The complex has around 400 berths, reached from the lake through an entrance channel with an average depth of 1.90 metres. Guest moorings lie along the quay in the Oude Haven, and boats under 8.5 metres can use the CX pier. Facilities include sanitary blocks, a laundry room, fresh water taps, 16 amp shore power and a waste water pump. In the inner harbour the Botterwerf keeps a fleet of traditional botters, a reminder of the village's fishing past. The old core of Huizen lies a short walk inland.
