Gemeentehaven Enkhuizen

Location: Krabbersdijk 6, Enkhuizen, Netherlands

The municipal harbours of Enkhuizen take in the Buitenhaven, Binnenhaven and Oosterhaven, all within a few minutes' walk of the old town. The Buitenhaven is the busiest option for visiting yachts on the IJsselmeer side, with berths in boxes, along the wooden Plankier pier and rafted alongside each other on the southern quay in high season. Facilities are simple but complete: sanitary buildings, free wifi, waste-water disposal and a harbour office run by the municipal havendienst. The setting is the draw. Enkhuizen was a Dutch East India Company town, and the Drommedaris tower marks the harbour entrance. The Zuiderzeemuseum and the Krabbersgat locks to the Markermeer lie close by.
