Galamadammen Hotel Restaurant Jachthavens

Location: Galamadammen 1, Koudum, Netherlands

Galamadammen is a hamlet at the bridge and channel between De Morra and De Fluessen, on the sailing route from Stavoren into the Frisian lakes. The jachthavens here belong to the Galamadammen hotel complex near Koudum and put visiting boats directly on some of the best sailing water in south-west Friesland. The operation is currently unusual. Since March 2022 the hotel, restaurant and terraces have been given over to housing Ukrainian refugees at the request of the municipality of Sudwest-Fryslan, and the pool and sauna are closed. The marina itself stays open, with seasonal and visitor berths available and sanitary facilities beneath the hotel still accessible to harbour guests. Berth enquiries go by email.
