Dorpshaven Oosterzee

Location: Oosterzee, Netherlands

Dorpshaven Oosterzee is the small village harbour of Oosterzee on the southern shore of the Tjeukemeer, the largest lake in Friesland. The modest basin holds 16 permanent berths plus around 15 visitor places, charged per metre with local tourist tax on top. Close by the village offers a sandy beach, a trailer slip, a second small harbour and a compact campsite with washing and toilet facilities. The open Tjeukemeer gives fine sailing for dinghies and traditional flat-bottomed craft, and links through the surrounding canals to Lemmer, Echtenerbrug and the wider Frisian lake network. The village association Plaatselijk Belang Oosterzee publishes harbour and tourism information for visitors.
