De Sonse Jachthaven
Location: Kanaaldijk Zuid 2, Son en Breugel, Netherlands
De Sonse Jachthaven occupies a former Rijkswaterstaat storage basin on the Wilhelminakanaal at Son en Breugel, north of Eindhoven, and has operated as a marina since early 2015. The harbour accommodates 38 vessels and pairs its moorings with a cafe, restaurant and terrace at Kanaaldijk Zuid 2, which makes it as much a village meeting point as a boating stop. Families are well served by a play area with trampoline, climbing frame and slide, and there is parking and bicycle storage for visitors who arrive by land. Rural cycling routes fan out from the canal bank. Opening runs daily from 9am in high season, from 10am through the winter months.
