De Cleypoel Watersport

De Cleypoel Watersport is a small-scale family marina and boatyard at Poeldijk 10 in Rijpwetering, on the Kleipoel, a pool whose name appears on charts from the early 1600s. The water connects without bridges or restrictions to the Kagerplassen and the Ringvaart of the Haarlemmermeer, so berth holders sail straight out onto the best lake water in the Leiden region. The yard combines moorings with winter storage, a boat crane and rinse platform, maintenance and repair work and a water-sports shop. A small campsite and camping rafts on the water give the place an old-fashioned, low-key holiday character rare around the Kagerplassen.
