Buyshaven
Location: Flevolaan 6, Enkhuizen, Netherlands
Buyshaven is the quieter of Enkhuizen's large marinas, a green and sheltered basin a ten-minute walk from both the historic town centre and the railway station. It has about 380 permanent berths and 10 visitor berths, with water depths of 2.4 to 3.3 metres, enough for most IJsselmeer cruisers. Facilities cover the basics well: showers, toilets, a launderette, free wifi and the De Kombuys cafe at the harbour. From the entrance the whole IJsselmeer opens up, with Medemblik, Stavoren and the Naviduct at Krabbersgat all within easy reach. For crews who want Enkhuizen's old town without the summer bustle of the municipal harbours, this is a sound choice.
