Boerenjachthaven Van der Geest
Location: Wasbeeklaan 31, Warmond, Netherlands
Boerenjachthaven Van der Geest is exactly what its name promises, a farm marina among the meadows at Wasbeeklaan 31 in Warmond. Boats were moored at the quay beside the Van der Geest dairy farm for more than fifty years before the family opened a purpose-built harbour in April 2013, with room for around 200 boats and a direct waterway to the Kagerplassen and De Kaag. The yard is secured with an electric fence and there is generous parking, while berth holders look out over an open polder landscape that is increasingly rare this deep in the Randstad. Passing boats are welcome.
