Bataviahaven

Location: Schoonzicht 404, Lelystad, Netherlands

Bataviahaven is the visitors' and events harbour of Lelystad, on the Flevoland coast where the Markermeer meets the IJsselmeer near the Houtribsluizen. The harbour has close to 200 guest berths, with a choice of high and low piers so that both tall yachts and low sloops lie comfortably. It regularly hosts maritime events and visiting traditional ships. Ashore there are modern sanitary facilities and a launderette. Restaurants with terraces surround the basin, and the Batavialand museum with its replica of the seventeenth-century VOC ship Batavia lies next to the harbour. From here it is open water north toward the Wadden Sea or south across the Markermeer to Amsterdam, with the lock complex directly at hand.
