De Haan Watersport

De Haan Watersport is a family-run boat rental business at Algeraburren in Workum, on the waterway linking the old Frisian town with the IJsselmeer and the Frisian lakes. Run by Frank and Maureen, it hires out well-kept Polyvalk open sailing boats and Maril and Enkhuizen sloops by the day or week, with suggested routes through the surrounding lake district and arrangements for family or corporate groups. A number of mooring berths are available, but hiring rather than harbouring is the core of the business. Workum's centre, with its long market street and museums, is a few minutes' walk from the jetties.
